Our Facilities

ED6 is based at East Durham College in Peterlee. The campus is a large, bright, airy modern building with great facilities.

The Peterlee Campus opened in January 2009 following a £36m new build investment.

As a sixth-former at ED6, you'll have most of the top floor dedicated to you and your education.

Since sixth form is a step up from school, you won't be asked to wear a uniform. You'll be on first-name terms with your tutors. And you'll have a lot more freedom - except when it comes to lectures: attendance is compulsory.

All the facilities you need - IT suite, library support - are here. And during morning breaks and lunchtimes, there are plenty of places to get a drink and something to eat, whether you need a full meal or just a snack. Outside lessons, we have first-class sports facilities which you'll have ample opportunity to use.

There are many students here - not just in the sixth form - so if you have hobbies or interests you'd like to share, we'll support and encourage you to get together with like-minded people to form clubs and societies.

Our college in general, and our sixth form in particular, will be great places to be for an exciting, challenging, rewarding time - we look forward to seeing you here.
