Welcome and my name is Suzanne Duncan and I'm the Principal at East Durham College and ED6. Here at ED6 the whole team are committed to providing you with high quality, challenging teaching and outstanding support so that you achieve your potential and realise your goals.

Hi my name is Wanda Scott, I joined ED6 as the Chemistry Lecturer and the course leader for BTEC Level 3 Applied Science. I am also a Programme Area Leader.

Hi, my name is Avis Mastin. I completed my PhD at the University of York to where I researched into the disease Schistosomiasis (also known as Bilharzia). I then trained to be a teacher at the College of Ripon and York, St John.

I live and breathe all things science – and can often be found trying to come up with the next experiment to wow you all!

Hi, my name is Julia Fairweather and I teach A-Level Business Studies and Economics here at East Durham College, ED6.

Hi my name is Julie King and I am a Computer Science and History Lecturer at ED6.

 

Hi, my name is Kirsty Bertram and I teach on the A Level English Literature and English Language courses. I also deliver on the Access to HE English course and on the GCSE English programme.

Hi, my name is Dave Kershaw and I’m an ICT and mathematics lecturer at ED6. I have extensive teaching and management experience in the fields of computing, ICT, mathematics and science from my time at a number of further education colleges.

Hi, my name is Kelly Skeet and I teach A-level Law here at East Durham College within the ED6 department.

 

Hi, my name is Jamie March and I teach A-level Maths & Further Maths here at East Durham College within the ED6 department.

Hi I'm Christine and I teach Psychology on various courses within the College, including A Levels and Access to HE programmes.

Hi, my name is Lindsay Haggis. I am the Progression Coach for ED6. My job is to support the 6th Form students with their personal development, overcome barriers and achieve their potential.

I am very passionate about encouraging people with the potential to go to university to consider it as an option and I am looking forward to working with the new ED6 students and helping them to realise their full potential.
