To try and make life just that little bit easier for you, East Durham Sixth Form offers FREE bus travel to college to ALL students.
We’ve teamed up with Arriva to offer you a free bus services to get you to college and home again. You can simply show your college ID badge to jump on any Arriva bus during term-time, Monday to Friday, till 9pm.
This offer is available to ALL East Durham College students regardless of age or household income.
This new free bus offer with Arriva replaces the previous college-run bus service using chartered buses with Lees and Snowdons. These will no longer run.

Terms & Conditions
Travel is only permitted to and from College or work placement during term time weekdays from 6am till 9pm.
Your I.D. Card remains the property of East Durham College and will not be valid if you no longer attend the College. Your I.D. Card must be returned to East Durham College if you no longer attend your course.
The College will only make payment(s) for term time, weekday travel to and from College to The transport provider. There is no cash value equivalent and this is non transferable.
Buses used are not exclusive to East Durham College, these are part of the Arriva public transport network. All Arriva buses have CCTV installed.
Travel on Arriva is subject to the operators normal terms and conditions.
The operator retains the right to refuse travel. East Durham College reserves the right to withdraw your free travel entitlement at any time on the grounds of unacceptable behaviour either within college or while using the Arriva network.
In the event of poor behaviour on or damage to Arriva buses, East Durham College will work with Arriva and review CCTV and students may be subject to East Durham College disciplinary procedure.
If you lose your I.D. Card you are responsible for the cost of travel. One free of charge replacement card per year is available from Student Services, subsequent replacement cards may be chargeable.
Your I.D. card is valid until October 2015, you are responsible for renewing this free of charge for travel in the second half term. You can do this at Student Services at the Houghall or Peterlee campus. This will not count towards your one free replacement card.
