Overview of the course: 
A GCSE at C or above in Science is a requirement for many University courses. This one year course condenses the full GCSE program and involves both theoretical Biology as well as an independently performed assessed investigation.
Entry requirements: 
As this is an intense course covering the full GCSE in just one year it is useful if Students have prior experience of the subject. A D in Biology GCSE or a Science GCSE would be an advantage.

Three 1 hour exams and controlled practical assessment.

If you have been a UK resident for the past 3 years and are under the age of 19 on the 31st August, you will not usually need to pay any course fees. If you are in receipt of Job Seekers Allowance or Employment Support Allowance in the Work Related Activity Group or other work related benefit and you are undertaking this qualification to find work, your fees may be paid by the Government. If you do need to pay fees they are: £465.50 Flexible payment options are available, please speak to Student Services. If you are aged 19+ years old you may be required to pay fees for your course, however if you are in receipt of Job Seekers Allowance or Employment Support Allowance in the Work Related Activity Group, your fees may be paid by the Government.
